CEWS claim periods

Here you will learn how the application periods work, knowing that each Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy application period is a specific 4-week period beginning on a Sunday.

How claim periods of CEWS work?

It’s important to keep in mind that the wage subsidy does not renew itself automatically. Before applying for the subsidy, you must check your eligibility and determine the amount according to the rules in effect at the time.

Remember the months and rules for determining the drop in income and the subsidy percentage for periods 5 and later. The Formulate how the subsidy is calculated for periods 7 to 16.

Let’s keep the following dates in mind:

Dates Open for Application

Period 7: August 30 to September 26, 2020. You can apply for the subsidy until Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Period 8: September 27 to October 24, 2020. You can apply for the subsidy until Thursday, April 22, 2021.

Period 9: October 25 to November 21, 2020. You can apply for the subsidy until Thursday, May 20, 2021.

Period 10: November 22 to December 19, 2020. You can apply for the subsidy until Thursday, June 17, 2021.

Period 11: December 20, 2020 to January 16, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy until Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Period 12: January 17 to February 13, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy until Thursday, August 12, 2021.

Period 13: February 14 to March 13, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy until Thursday, September 09, 2021.

Upcoming Dates for Application

these periods are not yet open for application, but may apply at earlier dates. they have not yet pronounced maximum deadlines.

Period 14: March 14 to April 10, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Period 15: April 11 to May 08, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Sunday, May 09, 2021.

Period 16: May 09 to June 05, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Sunday, May 06, 2021.

Dates No Longer Available

theses Periods are not Available because the dates already have expired.

• Period 1: March 15 to April 11, 2020.
• Period 2: April 12 to May 09, 2020.

Note: So far the expired dates range from period one to period six.

• Period 3: May 10 to June 06, 2020
• Period 4: June 07 to July 04, 2020.
