When can you apply for your first CRB payment?
Here you will find the dates of applications that are currently available, those that will soon be open and those that are no longer open.
Application periods of CRB
Each eligibility period for the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) is two weeks long. When you apply, you will be paid $1,000 ($900 after taxes are deducted) for the time period you requested. If you’re eligible for one of the 2 week periods, you can apply CRB the following Monday.
As an example, we mentioned each period is 2 weeks in length, The first period for this payment is September 27th – October 10th, So in this case, the Monday following the Eligible Period is Monday October 12th. This is also the very first day applications open for CRB.
If you don’t apply in time, don’t worry – you can apply to receive retroactive payments for up to 60 days.
Dates Open for Application
Period 9: January 17 to January 30, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy until Wednesday, Mach 31, 2021.
Period 10: January 31 to February 13, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy until Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
Period 11: February 14 to February 27, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy until Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Period 12: February 28 to March 13, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy until Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Dates Upcoming for Application
These periods are not yet open for application. but can The earliest you can apply is the first Monday after the cut-off date.
Period 13: March 14 to March 27, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, March 29, 2021.
Period 14: March 28 to April 10, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, April 12, 2021.
Period 15: April 11 to April 24, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, April 26, 2021.
Period 16: April 25 to May 08, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, May 10, 2021.
Period 17: May 09 to May 22, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, May 24, 2021.
Period 18: May 23 to June 05, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, June 07, 2021.
Period 19: June 06 to June 19, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, June 21, 2021.
Period 20: June 20 to July 03, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, July 05, 2021.
Period 21: July 04 to July 17, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, July 19, 2021.
Period 22: July 18 to July 31, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, August 02, 2021.
Period 23: August 01 to August 14, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, August 16, 2021.
Period 24: August 15 to August 28, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, August 30, 2021.
Period 25: August 29 to September 11, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, September 13, 2021.
Period 26: September 12 to September 25, 2021. You can apply for the subsidy Starting Monday, September 27, 2021.
Dates No Longer Available
These dates shown below are no longer in effect, since the call for applications at that time closed.
Period 1-2: September 27 to October 24, 2020. is finished.
Period 3-4: October 25 to November 21, 2020. is Completed.
Note: dates currently range from period one through period eight.
Period 5-6: November 22 to December 19, 2020. is finished.
Period 7-8: December 20, 2020 to January 17, 2021. is Completed.
Keep in mind that the benefit is only valid from September 27, 2020 to September 25, 2021. After you’ve achieved the limit of 19 periods, you won’t be able to earn CRB payments any longer (38 weeks).

To confirm the number of periods that you have already received the CRB, you can review your application history in CRA My Account, under “COVID-19 Support Payment Application Details”.

I called into apply for the CRB, but the checks were mailed out to the last known address on the USA. So this request is to update my current address and direct deposit details. Once this is done then I would request the CRB payments to be deposited into my bank account.
